More on Susie\u2019s Wiles while Sleuthing<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

     We took the Land Yacht to Miami Beach on Sunday to swim in the ocean, Sally looking especially good in a halter-top and short-shorts.  Sally called her 92-year-old uncle in North Palm Beach, and informed us, \u201cHe\u2019s really looking forward to our visit.  He\u2019s a really lonely old-guy.  Our visit is a big deal for him \u2013 I\u2019m so glad you guys didn\u2019t nix the visit \u2013 but . . . but he\u2019s insisting we not show up \u2018til Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

     \u201cHe wants to show us this \u2018Holiday Boat Parade,\u2019 and it\u2019s not until Friday.  I don\u2019t know what a \u2018boat parade\u2019 is, but I hope you guys go along with me on this \u2013 he\u2019s family \u2013 and I don\u2019t want to let him down.  He\u2019s been counting on this for four months.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

     \u201cBesides,\u201d Jack said, trying to help Sally out, \u201cit\u2019s sunny! It\u2019s warm!  We\u2019re in Florida! There\u2019s Key West to visit.  Let\u2019s stay the week and give those unlucky Rumpkins stuck in snowdrifts up north something to view \u2013 and by the way – doesn\u2019t Sally B look great!  Patty, turn the camera on.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

     So we encamped at Peggy\u2019s for the week and went our separate ways.  The Rover, with Jack, Steve and Sally aboard, went down to Key West to do some deep-sea fishing \u2013 Sally\u2019s idea.  Patty and Huck stayed at Patty\u2019s movie producer friend\u2019s place.  Max, Rocky and Skip held down the fort in South Miami.  Keeping it to herself, Sally was miffed about Max passing-up a chance to go deep sea fishing \u2013 maybe the best fishing of the whole trip \u2013 and opting, instead, to hang back with Skip and Rocky.  \u201cIs he bothered by how I\u2019ve taken to Jack?\u201d she thought.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      After everybody else left for Key West, waitress Susie was back in touch with Skip and Rocky.  There was a new guy in Boulder who was coming into the Chat & Chew regularly, once with Charlie Furbush.  \u201cHe\u2019s been smilin\u2019 at me, winking.  Maybe if I come on a little?  Maybe I can crack this case,\u201d Susie said more as a statement than a question, puffing up her sleuthing ability.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \u201cYeah, go for it, girl,\u201d Rocky said.  \u201cIs he good-looking?\u201d  We figured Susie was going to be successful.  She was an eye-popping, fun-loving, go-for-it type.  Nicely endowed, she knew how to put a sway to her walk when she wanted to catch a guy\u2019s eye.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
